Over the Summer I gained experience working at Lydia June Interiors, based in Chesterfield.

Working with Lydia was extremely useful for expanding my interior design knowledge as I learnt how to create cohesive schemes for various rooms and be adventurous with patterns all while putting the client first in a professional setting. I helped install curtains, source products, order fabrics and went on shopping trips with / for clients. This involved a day trip to the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour, I had such a fun day learning more about the brands and what they had to offer. Not only has my time here bettered me as a designer it has also pushed my people skills as I had to cater to each client individually to make sure they come away with a design they are happy with.

I am pleased to come away from Lydia June Interiors with a more detailed view on the design industry and an extra set of skills which I will be able to apply in the future.​​​
