Before selecting my university course I wanted to make sure it was the right path for me therefore in 2021 I spent a week working at Whittam Cox Architects, based in Chesterfield. During my time I was situated in the interior design department and got to work independently on a real life project designing student accommodation studio apartments based in Exeter. I was lucky enough to sit in on meetings with suppliers and be taught programs such as InDesign, AutoCAD and Sketch up. However my favourite part was going through all their samples creating physical 3D mood boards.

I found my time spent there really useful as I gained insight to what it would be like working a 9-5 at an architecture firm.
